The HTC Flyer features a 7 inch tablet with a 1024 x 600 pixel TFT touch screen. It equipped with a 1.5 GHz single core processor together with 1GB of RAM. In addition, it has a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front, by which you can make video calling. The HTC Flyer is also supports such functions like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G connections and HSPA+ connections ,which is near 4G. The internal memory of it is 32GB, which can be extended to another 32GB with the micro SD slot. Besides, it also has a 4000 mAh battery.

As for the operating system, it was said that the HTC Flyer will adopt version 2.4 OS, which is a revision of the Gingerbread OS but not the Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, which is written for tablets and many other coming tablets like Motorola XOOM, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and LG Optimus Pad will use this OS. Someone may consider it as a problem since Android 2.3 was written for mobile phones. You rest assured that HTC has added its own software into this operating system. As we know, most tablets do not have a stylus while it is just an unusual feature of the Flyer. With the stylus, you will have more pleasant experience when doing handwriting and other tasks. As an Android device, the Flyer is surely excellent as it can do everything like other Android devices. The HTC Flyer is planned to be available in the second quarter of 2011.

As we can see, major manufactures like Apple, Samsung, Motorola, RIM, and LG are all in the group of produce tablets for consumer in order to keep their status in the market. Now, with the Flyer, HTC is also in this group. It seems that only it seems Sony Ericsson and Nokia are an exception. We just do not know what they are going to do.
